Lido Beach Resort

Lido Beach Resort. The resort is located at 700 Benjamin Franklin Dr, which is about a 15 minute drive from the airport. Navigate here for a full list of resort activities, such as the pool, private beach and fitness center, or here for nearby St. Armands Circle activities and restaurants.

Check-in starts at 4:00 pm. An earlier check-in may be accommodated if you call ahead. Lido Beach Resort is located on Lido Key in Sarasota with its own private beach, and plenty of spaces to walk or relax as well if you are not able to check in early. The resort staff will ask for a credit card from everyone to keep on file for incidentals or, if applicable, your extended stay nights.

Check-out is at 11:00 am on the day of your departure. If you are leaving Sarasota on Thursday, you will want to check out of your room before attending the day's events with TCT. The staff will be happy to store your luggage until you return, or you can bring it with you to our meeting space.

Parking. Complimentary parking passes are available at Lido Beach Resort for retreat attendees at check-in.

What to Pack. The retreat is a time set aside for you to rest and be comfortable. Pack for what you deem comfortable. Our times together will be casual and include group gatherings to hear network updates and encouragement from the Word, evening dinners in smaller groups, free time as a large group on the Gulf, or the pool, or on your own with a book and the breeze. Please note the beach and water will be warm and suitable for swimming.

Getting Around. You will want to make plans for your transportation to and from the airport to the Lido Beach Resort. For all travel throughout the retreat to meals or meetings, you are encouraged to take advantage of carpooling among fellow TCT members with rentals or Uber/Lyft ride sharing. There is also a free shuttle option.

Free Shuttles. The Lido Beach Resort (lodging) will provide complimentary shuttle service to and from St. Armands Circle (restaurants) between the hours of 8:30 AM and 10:30 PM, on demand. Shuttles will hold approximately 6-12 people at a time. Shuttle service will make continuous runs until all attendees have been transported. To request a shuttle, please call (800) 441-2113.

We’ve assembled this list of local area attractions and extra optional activities. Not all of the local attractions are operating with normal hours yet. See also the interactive map below with restaurants included. This map will be updated with new suggestions continually.

Meals & Dinner Reservations

Meals & Dinner Reservations. All meals will be complimentary. Your dinner reservations for Tuesday and Wednesday night will be posted at least a week prior to the retreat. A Wednesday hot breakfast and boxed lunch will be provided in the Drift Lounge. A Thursday continental breakfast will be provided in the Drift Lounge and the retreat will conclude before lunch.

Choose Your Own Adventure Dining. If you selected “Choose Your Own Adventure” as one of your dinner reservations, you will be responsible for collecting and submitting your itemized receipt for reimbursement no later than Oct 31. Meals will be reimbursed for up to $28 / entree / person plus taxes and gratuity. Alcoholic beverages will not be reimbursed. Use Slack to perhaps make plans to try out Kilwin's or grab a carpool together. We will be using slack for real-time retreat updates on-site.

Expense Reimbursements. Airfare (up to $50/person) and Choose Your Own Adventure meals (up to $28/entree) may be reimbursed by submitting your detailed receipts using the form here. Please remember to submit itemized receipts instead of purchase summaries.
